It's a dog day afternoon...
So as of yesterday, a small stray puppy seems to have appeared on our property. He's a really cute little guy. He's almost all black with a couple of dark brown markings on his feet. Almost the colours of a rotweiler, but very fluffy and his eyes are so light blue they almost glow. He almost looks like a cross between a husky and a rotty. Because we live right beside a school, there is lots of traffic, especially in the mornings. I would hate myself if I found out that this little puppy would get run over, so to try and help him out, we took him into our fenced yard and let him play with our puppies as we try to locate his home. We set up some signs in the local post office and put the word out at the local convenience store. I really want to find this puppies home. he has a collar and is really cute, but we can't keep him. My wife sees right through my tough guy act. I say things like "If he's not claimed by the weekend, I'm tying him up to the SPCA door and leaving him there so I don't have to pay the 75$ drop off fee." or "I'm gonna have to drop him off on a back road somewhere and let him find his way to his home." She told me last night "I see it in your eyes...you want to keep him don't you?!" and the bad thing is, yes, I do. But I already have two dogs (one of which was a stray that we kept) so we really don't need another dog. And have to train another puppy, no freaking way, not yet, not for a long time. We had a look at the top of his mouth and it's got lots of pink. He's going to be a stupid, tough ox of a dog. And probably a good size (I would love to keep him just to see how big he gets...huge legs and paws!!!). So I'm going to call my wife later and see if somebody called to claim the puppy, if not, I'm going to call the town office and ask them to some pick him up sometime this week and let them put him in their kennel. Ugh...
As for the questions I posted a little while back regarding my faith, I am still reading and researching and have find myself much more comfortable at being able to support my religion...if anyone cares...
